Zombie Nation is the alias of Florian Senfter, a German DJ and producer who emerged from the Munich techno scene in the late ’90s. Senfter, also known by the name Splank!, was heavily influenced by electro, rave, and industrial sounds—but it was his breakout under the Zombie Nation name that put him on the map.
In 1999, he released Kernkraft 400, a reworking of a forgotten Commodore 64-era video game soundtrack—and unintentionally created one of the most recognisable electronic anthems of all time.
