Before Justice became French electro gods & before ‘We Are Your Friends‘ obliterated festivals around the world, there was, Simian. The British indie-electronic band released ‘Never Be Alone‘ in 2002, a track that had promise, but didn’t quite hit, mainstream gold. Enter two Parisian beat-makers, Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, who took the original track, tore it apart, and reconstructed it into something completely different. This remix was so good, it became bigger than the original, and Justice’s career was launched into the stratosphere.

Justice: The Kings of the New French Touch
Justice weren’t just remixers—they were revolutionaries. The duo took the polished house sounds of Daft Punk and dirtied them up with distortion, crunch, and a rock-and-roll attitude. We Are Your Friends was just the beginning. Their debut album † (2007) was a genre-defining moment, blending electro, disco, and metal into something entirely new. Tracks like D.A.N.C.E. and Phantom cemented them as the loudest, most chaotic force in electronic music.
