Gadjo – So Many Times

Some house tracks feel like they were made for sunsets, open-air terraces, and that perfect hands-in-the-air moment. “So Many Times” by Gadjo is one of those records. First released in 2003, it’s a soulful, vocal-driven house anthem that has quietly stood the test of time. With its soaring vocal hook, smooth chords, and irresistibly feel-good groove, “So Many Times” captured the essence of early-2000s house music.

The man behind Gadjo is German DJ and producer Murat Arslan. Before the success of “So Many Times”, Arslan had been DJing across Europe, cutting his teeth in clubs and underground parties while developing his taste for soulful, vocal-heavy house music. Under the alias Gadjo, he leaned into that sweet spot between classic disco influences and modern, polished production—a style that defined the mid-2000s house scene.

While Gadjo handled the production, the real magic came when he teamed up with Alexandra Prince, a German vocalist with a powerhouse voice and deep roots in dance music. She had already worked with producers like DJ Moguai and had lent her voice to a number of club records, but “So Many Times” was the track that made her voice instantly recognisable.
