DJ Falcon & Thomas Bangalter – Together

It’s one of the most euphoric vocal loops in French house history. Simple, repetitive, but absolutely hypnotic. DJ Falcon & Thomas Bangalter’s “Together” isn’t just a track — it’s a feeling. Released in 2000, it became an instant underground classic, capturing the essence of the French touch movement with its warm sampling, looping structure, and emotional pull.

The French Touch Connection

To understand “Together,” you need to understand the French touch movement. Emerging in the mid-to-late 90s, French touch was characterized by filtered disco loops, warm analog production, and a heavy reliance on sampling. At the center of it all was Thomas Bangalter — one half of Daft Punk — whose label, Roulé, became a breeding ground for the sound.

DJ Falcon (Stéphane Quême) was already part of this scene, working as a producer and remixer. He and Bangalter had known each other for years, and “Together” marked their first proper collaboration. Released on Roulé in 2000, the track was a perfect distillation of everything French house stood for — soulful samples, hypnotic loops, and that unmistakable sense of warmth.
