Ann Lee, born Annerley Gordon in Sheffield, England, worked as a session vocalist and co-wrote tracks for other Eurodance artists. Her smooth vocals and catchy melodies helped her stand out in the late 90s dance scene. After “2 Times” topped charts worldwide, Ann Lee continued to release music, including her album “Dreams” in 1999. Her influence on Eurodance remains strong today.

But was she the actual voice of Whigfield?

Ann Lee (Annerley Gordon) is widely believed to have been the uncredited vocalist on several Whigfield tracks, including “Saturday Night.” While this hasn’t been officially confirmed, Gordon worked as a session singer and songwriter for the same production team behind Whigfield’s music. This has fueled speculation that her voice was used on early Whigfield tracks. Ann Lee also co-wrote “Think of You” and other Eurodance hits.
